I made this up one evening when reading a book on flavors my brother gave to me.  Endive is something I do not use often, however, it is very good when paired with bacon and blue cheese.  The endive act like little boats that hold in all the delicious flavors of the blue cheese and [...]

Melon Skewers

This is a traditional paring of flavors in Italian cooking.   This recipe makes me think of my grandfather from Italy.  I came up with this version over the summer when the melons were on sale.  If you want to do a very easy version purchase pre-cut melons at the grocery store.

I have to admit I never was a fan of pimento cheese until I moved to Georgia and discovered many people enjoy pimento cheese if made properly.  I have found, what I think, is the perfect recipe and with a hint of  Texas laced throughout each bite.  A little kick in each bite reminds me [...]

If I can find a reason to stuff a mushroom I will.  For some reason mushrooms are so much more attractive to me when stuffed…I am not sure why but it is the truth.  I took my favorite cuisine, Mexican, and added it to the portabella mushroom.  It takes no time to put these together [...]

Homemade pizza is a regular in our house.  I normally make dough in the bread machine and freeze it for a fast weeknight meal.  If you do not have a bread machine you can purchase a ball of dough for about $2 at most grocery store bakeries.   Use the basic basil pesto for this pizza.   [...]
