Making homemade granola is A LOT easier than I ever anticipated. Actually, now that I have made it, I won’t buy the other stuff. My husband and I love this recipe and eat it in the morning in yogurt or milk. Sometimes I pack a little bag of it for a snack on the way to gym after school. Anytime it is delicious! It makes a large amount that you can keep on hand in an airtight container. Just think, something healthy and tasty…yum!
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
1 1/4 cups sliced almonds
1 cup dried cherries
1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
1/4 cup flax seeds
Preheat oven to 300. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper (no wax it will stick to the granola). In a small saucepan over low heat stir together oil, honey, brown sugar and vanilla until the sugar has dissolved. In a large bowl combine the oats and remaining ingredients. Add in the warm honey mixture and stir until everything is coated. Spread the granola on the baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes. Stir half way through baking. Remove from the oven and cool completely. Break the granola apart and enjoy!

Hey Rise! I just happened to look up at the TV this morning and saw you making this on the news! That’s awesome! Congrats!
Thanks Meredith!
Rise,
Love this recipe!!! My husband eats it every morning with his yogurt. We used cranberries an walnuts. Delicious! Your mother told me about the granola.
