Make these sweet little treats for a brunch, bridal shower or baby shower. They are so easy and you can play with the ingredients. Try using different citrus with different berries. Enjoy!
I made these on a snow day when my husband and I were stuck at home. They made the house smell fantastic and they taste delicious. They are best hot out of the oven, but the next day just warm it up in the microwave and it is just as delicious. Makes 18 muffins

We make these every fall over and over again. I love them hot out of the oven with apple butter, but you can eat them with ham for lunch or dinner. Either way they are a great way to enjoy a biscuit!

My first taste of apple cake was about 2 years ago in Asheville. My husband and I were visiting some friends and she made it for us from her grandmother’s recipe. It was delicious. Recently Southern Living had a recipe for apple cake so I decided to give it a try. Delicious!!! You have to try this especially with all the fresh apples in season.

Another new summer favorite of mine! I got this from the Southern Living Farmers Market Cookbook. How could you not love the flavors of fresh peaches and pecans…they are a Georgia staple. I did lighten this up just a little and it still tasted delicious. If you choose to lighten yours, just use 2% milk instead of whole. Enjoy!

Grilled pizza is amazing!!! We like to make mini pies and grill them on a lazy summer night. I just love the way the dough gets the grill marks and the smokey flavor. Try this recipe or make your own one night!

This is from my favorite new cookbook a good friend gave to me. Southern Living Farmers Market Cookbook is amazing. My husband and I devoured this meal and then ate the leftover green beans and corn bread for lunch the next day. I changed up a few small details in this recipe…not so light…but ohh so good! This is a must try for summer!

I read a lot of cookbooks and spend hours looking at recipes and pretty pictures. I was given this cookbook as a gift this summer and honestly I can not stop making recipes out of it! I will post a few recipes I have tried this summer as a preview for my readers.
The Southern Living Farmers Market Cookbook a fresh look on local flavor
Here is why I love this book (there are many reasons)
1. The book is divided by seasons so it is very helpful for someone like me who knows enough about produce, but still gets stumped in the dead of winter on what side dish to prepare.
2. The ingredient lists are very minimal and very simple. Most of the ingredients you can get a farmers market or you local grocery store
3. The pictures are amazing! I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pics!! I actually eat my cereal in the morning and decide what I am going to cook that day from the book. It makes me happy to start my day looking at the pictures.
4. Each season is divided into groups (apps, dessert, main course, sides and drinks).
5. Nothing is too complicated. I have not found one recipe that seemed too over whelming to make.
6. The food is delicious!! I promise you will love anything you make from here.
